Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

As with anything, you can get out of college what you choose to. Most professors are enthusiastic about their class material, and really help you get excited as well. I have found that the majority of professors are eager to help, in any way they can. The teachers, counselors, and faculty are excellent at helping students be directed to learning and being successful college students. Three ways to make sure you end up with good professors is to talk to an advisor, talk to peers, or ratemyprofessor.com. If you take the time to find good classes, and then participate in the classes, you can learn a lot.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

UAA has so many opportunities to get involved on campus, and have a fun time. Student Activities brings up several comedians, magicians, musicians, even hypnotists. A lot of these artists have been on big name TV shows, such as MTV, My Name is Earl, or Comedy Central. There are many sports events, with great attendance. If you get yourself involved, UAA can be a blast.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

UAA has always been really inexpensive, compared to other universities. Even though the price is being raised, it is still a great price, and very affordable. UAA is also great at helping students find scholarships to help make the costs even more practical.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

1. Involve yourself. When you get involved, you feel more comfortable with your campus, and are more willing to ask questions, get assistance, and realize all of the many ways that UAA can help you. 2. Talk to your advisor. Your advisor can help not only with your current problems, but can also prevent future ones.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

This college is excellent for any student who wants to be successful and get involved. The entire campus is very focused on student success, student engagement, and student enjoyment.
