What Students Are Saying
Research the specific teachers online when trying to decide which classes to take. There are many great teachers, and some not so great ones, but the crummy ones are usually revealed by a quick trip to a professor rating website.
Grandma, back in school.
Use the tools the school provides for you. Become familiar with Blackboard and TED as soon as possible and you will succeed.
Heather from Owasso, OK
take a tour, talk with advisors
Henia from Tulsa, OK
ask current students for professor recommendations. don't be afraid to take honors classes because they are small, the profs usually have their doctorates, and the classes are much more in-depth. get into the honors program, you can get 13,000 a year if you plan to transfer to university of tulsa.

I would suggest that anyone who enrolls at Tulsa Community College to be sure and start their Financial Aid Process and apply for admissions as far as three months in advance in order to have plenty of time to prepare for courses and having your classes secured by the Financial Aid department to avoid delays on enrollment etc.
Princess from Tulsa, OK
Ask other students about teachers and courses.
Stephanie from Owasso, OK
Make sure if you need help always ask your instructor they are there to help you and if you are online and you still need help schedule a time to go meet your teacher and get one on one help.
Rebecca from Broken Arrow, OK
Make sure you put the time in to talk to someone about what classes to take and make some type of schedule and a college plan for yourself. The administration is not going to go to you. You have to go to them.
Maia from Jenks, OK
Do NOT apply if your not gonna be able to attend! I am paying for a class I never stepped foot in because their phones have problems, their website crashes half the time and was unable to go to drop my class!
Holly from Tulsa, OK
Definitely go to www.ratemyprofessor.com and look up the teachers before you pick them. Do NOT wait until last minute to sign up for classes because the best teachers go first!
