Review of The University of Texas at San Antonio

from Laredo, TX

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

I didn't think I could learn more from the basic classes than everyone needs, but I have. There are some points that weren't even mentioned from my high school classes.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

I've made a great deal of new friends, and there are lots of organizations that you can get involved in and give yourself something to do rather than sit in your dorm (or apartment) every night and study. Not that it's a bad thing to study, but it's great to give yourself a break once in a while

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

UTSA is very affordable and I'm getting a good education for what I'm paying.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Go to the professor during their office hours, it's a great deal of help. SI sessions can be very helpful, so go to as many as you can if you're class offers them.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

UTSA is great for all types of students, you just have to be willing to put in the effort to strive for the best.
