Review of The Art Institutes

from Mattituck, NY

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The Art Institutes offers great education from professors who work in the field that you are studying. Everything you learn is based on their experiences and success. The professors teach as part-time teachers, and work primarily in the same fields that you intend to study. This way, you know that your education is absolutely genuine. You will also be working hands-on with industry standard technology almost immediately. Labs are all around the school if you ever want to train yourself in some of the technology during your free time, and often times these labs are also your classroom. Wouldn't you feel great as an audio student learning in a recording studio, or as a designer working in an art studio?

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

The people you meet at the Art Institutes are great! Whether they are your classmates, professors, administrators, or mentors, you always feel like you can connect with many other people who share your similar interests and love to help you out in any way they can. If you're ever having emotional problems, all of staff is available to make sure that you are feeling 110% during your stay at college. You begin to feel at home very quickly when you're here at the Art Institutes.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Although the Art Institutes cost quite the money, they offer great financial aid, scholarships, and grants for students. Once you get to experience the classes for yourself, however, you will be absolutely certain that every cent of what you're paying is completely worth it!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

You must understand that, when you walk into a college such as the Art Institutes, the high school life is over. It is important to begin working on any procrastination problems you may have now as a high school student before you enter this college, or any college for that matter. It's not that you will be constantly slammed with homework, but you definitely want to spend some extra time on your work to make sure you've given it your best. If you feel that you can do this already, then also keep in mind that some electives require calling back to materials that you learned in high school, such as algebra and MLA writing skills. Pay extra attention in high school now while you've still got it fresh in your mind.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

As suggested by its name, the Art Institutes are great for students who want to go into an art-related career field. The Art Institutes offers programs such as audio/media production, photography, digital and traditional design, interior design, film production, animation, fashion, culinary, and advertising. If you're interested in working in any of these art-related fields, then the Art Institutes is a great place for you!
