Review of Taylor University

Describe your college in three sentences.

Taylor is an awesome place where you will be pushed academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The off and on-campus programs will allow you to have a heart for the things God loves. This is a very extraordinary place.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

I'd advise you to get plugged in right away, but be able to say no to things. You do not want to overcommit yourself to things either.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

The professors here are amazing and very personal with you. It is not just about your grades but your walk with God. They will push you and lead you to be the person you are supposed to be.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

There is always things to do in the residence halls, floor worship, late night runs to love's or taco bell, movie nights, etc. But everybody knows each other and there are close relationships built on the wings or floors you live on.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The DC mixes food up pretty well, I actually work there. We try and bring a variety of foods with our Mexican line, pasta lines, burger and salad bars, the Deli and Chef's corner where different things are made.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

We usually make late night run's for food, go to Ivanhoe's Icecream shop, play sports in the KSAC, spontaenous worship nights and just do whatever we want to do.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Well one of the most interesting traditions we have here has gotten us on Sports Center and ESPN the past two years. It is called Silent Night. We dress up in costumes, pajamas and Christmas clothes for a basketball game. We are dead silent till the tenth point and we go crazy, it is insane!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There are a various amount of clubs such as the Black Student Union, Latino Student Union, Asian Awareness club and others. This allows students of other cultures and backgrounds to meet together and share common values with one another.
