The work isn't necessarily hard. It's honestly depends on your work ethic and the time and effort you are willing to put into your studies. Another factor is your major but anyone who attends the college at brockport will do well and we have a good bunch of faculty and staff who do care!
Describe the dorm life at your college.
As a first year student I suggest you choose a double because I chose a suite and those buildings are really old. But you have your own bathroom and common area and that's better sometimes because I don't have to leave my room much to do things. There's little study halls in each dorm which allow you to study just in case your roommate wants to blast music while your trying to do your homework. But overall dorm life is fun, RA's can get annoying but that is their job.the
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Brockport works around meal plans which allows you to go to the dinning halls. In the dinning halls, food is good at first but then it gets annoying. Sometimes they have special events or on special holidays they have really good food. There are also dinning dollars which you can use at some of the stores we have at multiple places around campus. You can grab snacks and drinks to go at trax, eagles nest, etc.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There are always activities going on around campus. Look for the flyers. There are chicken wing eating contest, friday nights with Ellsworth where they show free movies, spa nights, etc.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
If you like quiet, if you love sports,
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are many clubs on campus and they even have a club craze where you can see all of the clubs they have. There are always activities going on and flyers are put up so it won't be hard to miss.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
Brockport is pretty safe. Since it is a small town the people are pretty friendly and walking around late at night isn't a big deal. They have this thing called safe ride that drives around, picks you up and carry you back to your dorm, there are also these phones which you are able to call the campus police if needed.
