My tips for prospective student is to be responsible and be on top of your game. This is not high school and you will find that the competition for success has become way more competitive. Work hard now so that you can do what you want later.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The academic rigor at Stillman College is very intense. The faculty and staff strive to push their students into becoming something greater and expect nothing less. Staying focused is key.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Stillman does not allow co-ed visitation unless you have a 3.5 gpa and stay in Wynn or Knox Hall. However, besides the co-ed visitation deal, Rouhlac Hall is very comfortable and you are able to have privacy via your roommate. Also, the staff and resident assistants are very friendly and will help in making you stay more accustomed to your taste.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Two words: Chapel Chicken. Every Thursday the cafe provides the students with the best home-cooked meal that consists of friend chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese, and yams. We also have the food court that serves the best deli sandwiches, hot wings, and smoothies on this earth. Also, for the veggie-lovers, every Monday the cafe ladies like to honor you with meatless Mondays.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Stillman college provides plenty of activities for students such as band, choir, track, volleyball, fraternities and sororities (greek and non-greek). Stillman also provides us with monthly parties at the Hay Center, which is also known as Club Hay. Stillman is what you make it and with the right friends and tools this can be the best experience in your life!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I would have to say that Stillman is a very costly college, however, it is worth the bang for the buck. They provide great leadership skills and work ethnic skills that will later help in a successful future. The small student to ratio allows you to really get a better understanding in your classes which will be very beneficial in the long run.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Unusual traditions on Stillman Campus for me is Chapel. During Chapel, you get a view on not only a christian perspective on religion you will also get to hear someone that practices Judaism or Buddhism. Another strange tradition at Stillman are the Freshman ceremonies you must attend where you will be honored as an official Stillman Woman or Man. You will have to attend to get a full understanding.

Campus Safety is the top priority here. The campus security are always there for the students to make sure that every one is out of harms way and that we know we can feel safe on campus. This is the only place I feel safe walking during the night by myself.
