SUSCC is a great starting place to get your feet wet in the ways of college life. Administrators are wonderful with the current students as well as prospective students. Classes are great and easy to attend.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Keep your chin up and make sure you make friends with the administrators as well as other students. Be sure to get your paperwork turned in on time and be friendly with the professors.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Teachers/professors are easy to get along with and are more than willing to help you, just ask.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Living in the dorms is pretty fair, good rules and management as well as conditions and space.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Home cooked meals, healthy foods as well as a salad bar and friendly staff. These ladies are the best of the best and make each meal wonderful.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
You can hang out in the library or student center (student center has free tv, pool tables and table tennis as well as anything you would like to bring), the weight room is available for use of all students and visitors, and there is always a baseball/basketball/or theater event to attend.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Campus life is pretty solid. No big traditions you might feel obligated to attend or use, no serious rules that might impede your everyday activities, and there are designated areas for those of us who smoke.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
This is a great place for any type of student to begin their journey.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There is always a little something for everyone here. You can join just about any of the groups on campus, you just have to find a member and ask them. Simple as that!
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
This is a very safe neighborhood as well as a very safe campus. I wont say crime free, but there is security every night and weekend including holidays.
