Southern Maine Community College is a public, 2-year institution established primarily in the city of South Portland, with a satellite campus located in Brunswick. The college offers over 40 academic programs in five different divisions of study including Applied Technology, Health Sciences, Public Safety, Arts & Sciences, and Business & Information Technology. SMCC also offers online and hybrid course options, with degrees in Liberal Studies and Business Administration available to complete entirely online. Residential students have the opportunity to choose to live either on the seaside campus in South Portland, or on the Midcoast campus in Brunswick.
