Review of Southern Adventist University

Did learn a lot

I definitely learned a lot about myself as well as my subject material. There are many opportunities at Southern to find a path that fits your personality and interests. If you aren't sure what you want to do with your life Southern has advisers, student mentors, and counselors that can help you find a career choice or two suited to your lifestyle.

Did enjoy being here

Southern offers a variety of activities to keep you busy while you aren't hitting the books. I really enjoyed the social mixers and the athletic program. Intramural sports and other extracurricular activities allow you to meet a greater number of people from a variety of majors. People who can later become a great resource as you are exploring all the career options Southern offers.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

For a private school Southern isn't really that expensive. They also offer scholarship options for that extra financial push.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Get involved-the more you put into your college experience the more you'll get out of it. Don't be afraid to ask questions - Sometimes questions left unasked are missed opportunities to learn. Stay focused - whether you are a freshman just coming in or a senior on the home stretch wasted time is time lost for good. That's something no one can afford in this economy.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Flexible, open minded students who want to enjoy their college experience Hard working students who want to finish as quickly as they can Anyone who wants to expand their knowledge base in a positive, supportive environment
