Snow College is a great quality school! If you're looking for a small, intimate school that still gives you a highly academic classroom setting, then Snow is definitely the place for you. The teachers can get to know you as a person, the extracurricular activities are endless, and job opportunities are everywhere.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Apply for scholarships early! Although scholarships are plentiful, missing the deadline puts you at the very end of a long list.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
For the most part, you are expected to study rigorously to do well at Snow. Homework and study time can be heavy, especially in the sciences. However, if you balance your time well, you have nothing to fear!
Describe the dorm life at your college.
The Academy Suites (where I stayed last year) is very clean and convenient. There's an exercise room, lounges, and kitchens for student use. It almost feels like a fancy hotel. There are activities held every week. I recommend student housing to every freshman student.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Like most on-campus dining, the Badger Den is quite expensive. However, there are many food options and the food is good quality. Snow also features a monthly International Food Day. A specific country is featured each month. International students from that country help make the food which is that day's food special. It's super fun!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There are tons of clubs and activities to be involved in (water polo, science, recycling, service etc. etc. etc.). There are mountains everywhere. If you're an adventurous person there are plenty of places to hike, rock climb, mountain bike, go 4-wheeling and ride horses. There are 3 movie theaters in town and one outdoor drive-in theater. There are plenty of great restaurants around town. There's also a bowling alley.
