Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Come in open minded. Most people think that because it is a small school and in a small town there isn't anything to do, or you will not have fun but that isn't true. Siena Heights student engagement always has things for their students to do and Adrian is a 30-45 minute drive from Ann Arbor and Toledo.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Siena Heights is a liberal arts institution and it requires strong critical thinking skills and discipline. One advantage of going to a small university is the one on one relationships you develop with your professors and advisers. They are genuinely considered about our education and they push us to give 110% with everything.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Living in the dorms are great. There's an option of single rooms, double room, and quads. If you choose to get a suit you will have a personal bathroom but if you do not get a suit you have to use the community bathrooms which get cleaned twice a day. There are also campus apartments you can move into after your sophomore year, but most upper class-man move off campus and get a house.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
There is our dining hall, Benicassa- Benni's for short. In Benni's there's a variety of food each day and that is where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then there is the Sage Union where you can get snacks and chose from a variety of food such as, salads, tacos. pizza, subs etc.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There's always something to do on campus between sports and the different student organizations you can't go wrong. Off campus there's the movies and going out to eat, plus Adrian College is around the corner and there is always something going on there as well.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Siena is great for everyone! They reach out to all personalities and they make sure that no one is left out. One great thing is if you feel like you are not apart of something you can start your own student organization and let your voice be heard.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are so many clubs and activities at Siena. We have so many groups you can join that will make you feel right at home and it is a great way to be involved with campus.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
