Review of Seton Hall University
In which ways do you feel you are learning and growing?
I’ve definitely grown a lot since coming to Seton Hall, both academically and personally. I’ve learned how to manage my time better, speak up in class, and figure out what I’m actually interested in. Being involved in organizations, working on campus, and balancing classes has helped me become more independent and confident in myself.
In your experience, what is there to do for fun at this college?
There’s always something happening, and my favorite is the first 56 days. Activities happen each day in the beginning of the year like puppy yoga, flower bouquet making, a butterfly garden, and food trucks! Campus organizations host events all the time, and it is fairly easy to see what activities are going on. I also like hanging out with friends on campus, going to neighboring areas using the train station to try new food, and taking trips into NYC or Hoboken if we want to take a daytrip.
How does this institution support campus safety or mental health and wellness programs?
Seton Hall takes safety seriously, and Public Safety is very present on campus, which makes me (and my parents) feel at ease. However, people in general should always be mindful of their surroundings no matter where they go. There are also free therapy and mental health resources available, and, in my experience, professors and staff are very understanding if you reach out.
