Seminole State College of Florida is a wonderful school. They offer small class sizes and have a faculty that really cares about their students. Many of my teachers not only knew my name but a little about who I am!
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
I would suggest getting a planner to organize your classes, many of teachers have different schedules for test and assignments. I normally put all of my tests and assignments in my planner at the beginning of the semester.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
This college is challenge and will test your knowledge. I feel most of the professors are there to help students succeed.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The cafe at the Oviedo campus is ok,but most of it is pre-made foods. I would recommend packing a lunch. The cafe at the Altamonte Springs campus is great but gets pricey!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There are many clubs and organizations you can join- seems to be something for everyone and there's a planetarium at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus that holds events often.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Small class sizes for reasonable tuition prices and teachers that seem to care about their students. They also have many students in the tutor lab that have been very helpful! Also, If you plan on transferring to a university that seem to have many resources to help students.

The Oviedo campus plants a new tree every earth day and it's neat to see them all around campus.
