Review of Seattle Pacific University

from Creswell, OR

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The class sizes are small. The professors are actively engaged in their students life. You can tell they care about their subject and their students. All my professors have been willing to put in extra hours to make sure I fully understand the material. There are a variety of classes and majors to choose from.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

The community is exceptional. I have never felt so accepted. After only a few months, I can tell I have made some life long friends. Dorm life is fun! The school makes an effort to keep students involved in campus activities. There is always something to do. And if you can't find something that interests you on campus, SPU is located in the heart of Seattle!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Its a fairly expensive school, but they award very good scholarships. Even though I am paying a little bit more for this school than I would for a state school, the experience is priceless. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

The Christian aspect is a huge part of SPU. You won't be forced to believe anything, but you will be encouraged to discover what you believe. Be ready to meet students who are very active in their faith. Take part in as many campus activities as possible. They are there for a reason! These will help you get engaged and make lifelong friends. This will make for a better experience all together. Live on campus and leave your dorm door open.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

This university is especially great for students seeking an education firmly rooted in faith.
