Once the schedule for the upcoming semester is up, plan your schedule! So when it's time for you to register you can simply add the classes that you already planned rather than looking at that time. Classes fill up FAST; you don't want to miss your chance!
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
In any course you take, no matter what school; you MUST attend class, do your work, and study to pass the class! Of course there will be classes that are much easier than others, but there are classes here that can kick your butt if you don't put in work! Don't underestimate this school just because it's a community college. Most of the professors here have PhD's so don't underestimate your professors intelligence either.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
There is no dorm life here; it is a community college. But there are surrounding neighborhoods that are quiet and many apartment complexes nearby. You are in between Convoy where there are a bunch of Asian markets and restaurants and right next to Mission Valley and Fashion Valley.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Because of the location of the school, there are many nearby restaurants that in a very close proximity to the school. You have Convoy, Clairemont Mesa, Balboa Ave, Fashion Valley, Mission Valley, and even Linda Vista is nearby. There is a cafeteria at the school, they sell snacks in the bookstore, there is a Cafe in the Library, and another student store that sells sandwiches and other snacks in food inside. Also down the street is K Sandwiches, which is yummy and very affordable!
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There's a Student Affairs or Students Association at Mesa and there are also some clubs. I kind of wish there was more. But there are many activities like fairs and booths throughout the year; music and free stuff and food, which is always fun.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are Greek organizations on campus, I am just not very familiar with them.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
It is very safe on Mesa College campus. The campus isn't too big so even at night I'm not very concerned. There are areas where you press a button to get a police officer to accommodate you and there are many police officers patrolling at night time.
