The courses here are actually great. From what I hear we're on par, if not ahead, of the major colleges in the area, which for the cost of the school itself is rather amazing. The majority of the teachers I've had are fantastic at their job as well.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I'm really not enjoying it here, the staff behind the scenes at the school could use with a GREAT deal of help. They've lost my financial aid papers once causing the school to drop me from classes - which cost me a semester of education, and the counselors don't really know about the classes/course load the school requires.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Like I mentioned, the cost is amazing. I wouldn't move into the area just to attend school here, but if you're in SA, taking your basics here is a great idea.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
My recommendation if you are attending/thinking to attend is to copy everything you turn in to the clerical staff, call them often to make sure they're on top of things and when it comes to class order/requirements to just ask the department professors themselves rather than the counselors. Some of the professors have even said that this is a far better approach than asking any of the counselors on staff.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
I'd suggest it to nursing students, drafting, and anything just wanting to get their basics out of the way at a nice cost. Also good if you need to take any remedial courses.
