Describe your college in three sentences.

salve regina is a beautiful historic university where any student can feel welcome and at home. as a student here, i feel safe, involved and happier than ever. the students and faculty at salve really allow you to not only have a quality education, but to have fun and feel a part of the community in newport ri.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

as a prospective student, i would make sure that you keep up with your community service, as being a part of the community is a very big aspect of this university. visit the campus, but i am warning you, once you visit, you will fall in love.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

like in any university, you have to keep up with your work. as long as you keep up with assignments and attend classes, you should have no trouble! classes are fun and they are small so you will not get lost in the professor's eyes.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

dorm life is fun, there are always activities that residence life hosts and people are always friendly. the dorms are from restored mansions in the newport area which is really cool. rooms are spacious and there are usually no technical issues with the rooms.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

miley hall has a lot of food options to choose from. between the sandwich station, pastas, pizza, hot meals, salad, mongolian grill and much more, you wont get tired of anything. they give you a lot of ideas to make your meals more interesting and there are fun holiday themes and meals. make sure for the thanksgiving dinner you get there early!

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

there are a lot of fun things to do not only at salve, but in newport itself. you are minutes from historic downtown, which is full of shops and restaurants and right on the warf. the beach is a 10 minute walk from your dorm room, not to mention the cliff walk is right on campus. it is the most beautiful spot to live and go to school.
