Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I love this school and I would not have done it any other way if I had the chance to. It's a beautiful campus, and the people there are fantastic. The equine facility is also just amazing.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
The quality of education that you get is well worth it. The services that you have to use at you disposal while you are a student and the ones that you have available after graduation are incredibly valuable. The career center alone will bend over backwards to make sure that you have the chance to get internships and help you get a job.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Always ask if it is possible to do an overnight and sit in on a class or two. The most important class to sit in on would be a major class if you know what your intended major will be. Stay in contact with the admissions office and don't be afraid to ask questions. If an overnight is possible, stay in contact with the hosting student. That way you have a student that you will know as well when you start in the fall.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
This is an all women's school, and is perfect for the student that does not want to get lost in the crowd. Since SMWC is so small all of your teachers know you and remember you. A student that has struggled in high school wont fall between the crack because professors make sure that the student has used all of the tools possible and more.
