Saint Josephs College is a great transition from high school to college, or for me, college to college. The atmosphere is family like because the campus is small enough for that special attention from teachers, but large enough to walk around and have fun things to do on campus. This college may be smaller than large universities, but at Saint Joe's, there is BIG opportunities.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
College is not all about the big name schools. I think the best schools, especially for undergraduate, are the private smaller institutions because of the focus in students. At Saint Joe's, the faculty give that type of attention to help you succeed in your major and prepare you for graduate school.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The academic life is not very difficult. Like any school they have its challenges, but simply talking to the professor or your peers for help will definitely put you back on track with grades.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I personally do not live in a dorm but I hear its a lot of fun because you get to hang out with your friends and class mates.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
I love the food here and you get to go back for more like a buffet! There's a lot of variety too.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
Campus safety is impeccable. Not only because of the college campus but also the city of Rennselaer-it's a safe city and I've never felt any safer on campus especially compared to two different colleges that I've been to.
