Rivier College I knew within 15 minutes that I was going to apply and attend. I found the College to be exactly what I was looking for; a small campus, comfortable, competitive, and knowing that I was not going to be just a number.
I was impressed with the positiveness from students, professor and alumni I spoke to at touring, Student Acceptance Day, and orientation. I also liked the fact that the student-to-professor ratio is small and that they professors were approachable and that there are resources available at the college for you. The college wants you to succeed.
There is a positive feeling and a sense of accomplishment at Rivier and this is important to me.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
I would advise anyone to take the tour, they will love it.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Academics are challenging and resourses are there for you.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Although I have not yet experienced dorm life as an incoming freshman, the dorms are clean, rooms big enough and within walking distance to classrooms.
People I have spoke to who do live in the dorms say that they have many activities and everyone seems to get along.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
If what I had at Student's Acceptance Day, and orientation is an indication of what the food is like; then what I can say is it is delicious.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Trips are planned to local Nashua and the new Mall. The White Mountains are near by for skiers and boarders (that's me) and Boston is only about 1 hr away. What more can there be...come see.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
I also like the fact that there are clubs, sports and volunteering opportunities available to you, and if there is not one you would like to have, you can create one.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
The campus is monitored 24/7 and campus security is available for escort always.
