Review of Prince George's Community College

from Laurel, MD

Describe your college in three sentences.

It's is a pretty nice campus for a Community College. The staff is wonderful and they do the best they can to help you. I if I were to rate them from a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 8.5!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

If you are thinking of coming here because you are not ready to go to a University or you just want to start out small, Prince George's Community College is your best bet. Going to their orientation helps you out a lot and knowing the basics of the college. I heard their transfer rates are up there so when you are ready to go to a different institution, there won't be much trouble.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Academic counselors really want you to succeed but you have to show that you are trying. They will provide you with information for resources and tools to do well in your classes. It is not hard to want to do good here if you really pay attention to what you came to achieve.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

There really isn't any dorm life because it is a Community College.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Well there are two places you can grub and that would be the Cyber Cafe and the regular Cafeteria. The food is great. If you are really into cold cold lunches or really just can't make it on time to your class, but you are really hungry and this is the closest building to you, the Cyber Cafe is where it is at!

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Well this year, they have added way more clubs so you can join those in your spare time. If not you can play a sport like basketball, soccer, track cross country and more.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

I definitely saved a lot of money within a course of 2 years... Definitely!..

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

They have one... but not sure of the name.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Security is on point... to on point!...
