The most important tip I have for prospective students is to dive into extracurricular activities. With so many teams, classes and clubs, Ocean County College is bound to have a spot for you on their campus.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Ocean County College has several professors and courses that challenge each and every student. These professors do not believe in creating courses that are doomed for student failure. The professors of OCC have creates classes and syllabuses that teach, challenge and improve all of their students while allowing them to succeed.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Lucky for Ocean County College students, we do not have to live in old, smelly dorms with complete strangers. Living at home or in an apartment while going to college allows for more time, concentration and focus on schoolwork!
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Ocean County College has a cafeteria and outdoor seating that can be used at all times of campus hours! In addition, there is plenty of restaurants within a few miles of OCC. These restaurants include all types of food, such as Chinese, Japanese, fast food, pizza, subs and much more!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Apart from schoolwork, sports and clubs, Ocean County College is located in a place where volunteering is not only convenient, but pleasurable as well. Some volunteering that I am involved in (and would recommend to ANYONE) is TOPSoccer, Habitat for Humanity and POAC. Additionally, OCC is within an hour of beaches, city life and ski mountains. It doesn't get much better than that!

Ocean County College is an affordable way to start or complete your college education. In addition to a low rate for classes, OCC offers free counseling, entertainment and much more! There is NO college that gives as much bang for your buck than OCC!

Ocean County College has a great planetarium that holds many pajama nights, star gazing and performers. Also, OCC is home to a beautiful theater which is the home to several shows, lectures and speeches.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
If you are wise with your money, interested in quality education and do not like the idea of living with a total stranger in an small, old dorm room, than OCC is the college for you!

I am involved in the Leadership Program which allows students to learn and practice leadership skills, while enjoying several day trips and other activities. Also, the sports at OCC are some of the finest in the country. OCC also encourages their students to be a part of Phi Theta Kappa to help them succeed in their next steps of college.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
There are always plenty of security guards on and around campus. In addition, OCC is located in a very safe part of Toms River!!
