North Idaho is a great place to go to college to figure out what you want to do if you don't already know, or to just knock out those core classes. This place has everything!! It's a beautiful place as well as the people here are so nice and welcoming.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
If you're thinking about applying, do it quick!! Classes fill up quickly so if you want a place where you will feel welcome and has tons of things to do, hurry and apply!
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The classes, for me, aren't to bad. They're tough but definitely manageable. Plus the teachers are always open to help you if you don't understand or need more time with the material you're covering.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I am living in the dorms and there is always something going on for you to be involved with. Scavenger hunts, movies, Minute-to-win-it games, are only a fraction of the things that have gone since the beginning of school and we're only half way through!! Plus the people living in the dorms are open to meet you and want to hang out! You never get bored.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The food definitely isn't that good home cooked meal that mom used to make but it's tolerable. There are different entrees every evening as well as your regular menu of cheeseburgers, fries, grilled cheese, etc.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Since NIC is located on the Coeur d'Alene Lake, in the fall and spring, the beach is definitely a popular place as well as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and boating. In the winter, the ski resorts are as short as 30 minutes away to everyone hits the slopes when the snow hits!
