Describe your college in three sentences.

out of all the schools i researched when deciding where i wanted to attend college, north greenville was the most compassionate and personable. every staff member i was in contact with communicated with me in both a professional manner and as if i was an old friend. they made me feel as if i was already apart of their community and were extremley joyous about it.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

i advise students to be ready for a lot of smiling faces. i cannot recall one staff member i talked to while on campus that didn't talk to me with a cheerful tone. everyone there seems genuinly happy to help with any issue or question you have. the campus is beautiful and very well kept and also the perfect size; its not so small that you feel cramped, but its not huge to the point where you cannot find your classes. i was super anxious about going to college, but after visiting the campus and meeting staff all fear and anxiety is gone.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

i haven't actually attended ngu yet, so i haven't exaclty taken a class to be able to give my own personal feedback. but several friends that attend there, including my older sister would probably say that rating is accurate. from what i've been told: several courses are very vigorous and mentaly challenging, but with so many places to seek academic help, you won't die from the stress or mental anguish. lots of professors have open door policies and tutoring is always an option.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

one of the biggest factors for me when i was applying for college was the dorm style. i really wanted a suite style room and ngu's dorms are for the most part suite style. the rooms are spacious and have lots of built in storage. the laundry is free and each dorm hall requires a student card to get in. none of the dorms are co-ed and guys are not aloud inside the halls, let alone the rooms. if you request a specific roomate, counsleors will you a specific process to pick the roomate they believe is best suited to you.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

in the cafe, their are so many options to choose from. whether you're craving some homestyle cooking or cheesy pizza they've got it. the food lines surround the outer walls and the seating takes up all the inner space. you are also aloud to take food with you back to your dorm if you're not up to socializing, but if you like to meet new people, the cafe is a great place to start. there is also a papa john's, einstien bagels, and thai place located on campus if you want a break from cafe food that isn't out of the way.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

north greenville has a flourishing amount of clubs. whether you're into improv and dancing, or you love to hike and do archery, ngu probably has a club where you'll feel at home. ngu is also surrounded by beaufiul mountains with an abundance of trails to hike. sporting events are also free for students, so if you love to cheer your school on, you wont have to clean out your wallet to do so.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

-there is a tree on campus where you bring a mug to hang up, and take one that you like. -there are several white swing benches located around campus. people say that if you sit on one with the opposite sex you'll have a "ring by spring". -one of my favourite places on campus is the prayer chapel. it's a small, beautiful building centrally located where students can go to either right down a prayer request, or pray for a request you see written down. -ngu is kind of weird when it comes to dancing. it is supposedly not aloud, but the times i've been on campus i've seen people dancing. including a dance off during halftime of a football game.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

if students come back to campus after midnight, they have to go through the security entrance. if you were studying in a friends dorm or were in the library late at night and don't want to walk back to your dorm in the dark, security will come and pick you up. the security team also really loves to give out parking violations, so be careful where and how you park!
