Describe your college in three sentences.

NGU has a small population so it's easy to get to know others. NGU is very family friendly and serious about promoting a Christian atmosphere. The professors are very supportive.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Visit so you can experience how great a small atmosphere can be. Develop a good relationship with your admissions counselor - if they know you by name, they will look out for scholarships for you. Come to a sporting event - you'll love the NGU spirit!!!

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Whew! Adjusting to college studies as oppose to high school is challenging. Good thing the professors are there for you and the class sizes are small.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

At NGU, a Baptist college, room checks are done weekly. They really expect us (guys) to live in a decent environment. Also, all of my housemates are cordial and we get along.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Cafeteria food is average. Other places on campus- the STUD, Papa John's, etc. are wonderful. You can use your campus bucks at these places.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

School sporting events, intramural sports, cookouts, movies on campus, talent shows, community service, activities in the game room.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

I came to NGU knowing no one. I am African American, which makes up a very small percent of the population as well as the staff. I can truly say I have been welcomed and have made great friends. It's a great atmosphere.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

NGU has a outdoor Chapel where students can come and meditate but you have to be quiet. This is a great place to go sit and think and not be expected to talk, especially when I'm having a challenging day. There is so much peace in the Chapel!!!

Which types of students will excel at your college?

If you are quiet, a loner, not a big talker, this is a good place because during freshman orientation, it is set up to make you form friendships. You can't help it!!! I not a big talker, but I met three guys the 1st day of orientation and we are best friends now.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

All the common clubs found on all campuses that are major oriented. Lots of community service and missions activities are available. I especially like the intramural sports.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Christian college. They don't do Greek frats and sorors. But I feel like enough clubs and activities exist and you won't miss out.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Campus security take pride in knowing you by name when you are law abiding. You don't won't to disobey the law; they know you!!! Friendly campus security.
