Review of Missouri University of Science and Technology
from Republic, MO
Do you feel you’re learning a lot?
You will learn a lot at this school. At first you will learn some more in depth math and physics but when you get all that out of the way and can start learning what you actually want to learn, the classes for your intended major.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I wasn't sure coming here if I would enjoy being here because I didn't know anyone in Rolla. I was the only one from my graduating class that came here but I joined a fraternity and it was the best decision I have every done. I met a lot of new people and made friends that I will have for the rest of my life.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
You will definitely get the best bang for your buck if you are coming to this school for an engineering major. The school has career fairs every semester and it helps people get summer jobs while in school to help pay for college.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Do the homework its the best way to learn the material because some of the teachers are not the best at teaching but you can expect that with any college. The school provides things called LEAD sessions which are basically walk-in tutoring sessions if you need help in a subject. Study for exams even if you never had to in high school, college is a different ballpark I learned that the hard way after failing some exams.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
This is a great school for people looking for an engineering major, it has a wide range to choose from. The school is for anyone really looking for a career in the science or technology fields like the school's name implies.
