Review of Missouri University of Science and Technology

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The classes here at MS&T will definitely teach you everything you need to know about your decided career field. The courses are very in-depth and challenging so if you want to pass you have no choice but to learn the material frontwards and backwards. Many of the courses also teach you how to work well in groups, which is a skill you will need if you plan on a career in engineering.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

I enjoy MS&T for the most part, but there are a few things that aren't so great about it. The work load seems to really build up sometimes and the Male to Female ratio is 3:1 to name a few. Things like the annual St. Pat's celebration always make up for stuff like that though.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Your money is definitely well-spent at MS&T. You get intense training in your career field and you really know what you're doing by the time you get out there. Employers flock to this school because of that fact and the career fairs we have draw over 300 major employers looking to hire. Also, just the benefits the MS&T name can get you after college are worth the money.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

If you plan on attending this school, be ready to work. You definitely need to be sure that what you plan on majoring in is what you want to do, because it's going to become your life for the next 4 years. Possibly 5 if you plan on pursuing a career in engineering. No matter where you go though, know why you're there and be willing to work towards what you want.
