Review of Millersville University of Pennsylvania

from Annville, PA

Describe your college in three sentences.

Millersville is a good size campus where everything is in walking distance. You always see familiar faces and are always meeting new people. Lots of things to do both on and off campus with a group of people or just to venture off by yourself.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Make sure you make the most of Orientation Week! That's the best place to make friends to help you feel comfortable in a strange place. Two years later my friends still get together with their orientation groups, so that's the first step to making you feel more comfortable. Friends in the beginning of this journey will help you through anything!

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Gen ed classes are generally easy, understandable, but require a lot of work. The courses for your major are rigorous in both work, class time, and field experience.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

I love dorm life in that you are close to everything and you're surrounded by people. The buildings could use an update, but they are in the process of building new ones now! If you have the choice, I would recommend going into a smaller dorm building. It gives you the chance to meet more people!

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Food isn't bad, but it's not home. There are enough places that offer buffet style or grab and go. You have to watch the prices for the grab and go so you don't go over your meal. I know the university is striving to make healthier options available and lower the prices!

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Ville After Dark offers a variety of programs like midnight movie showings on weekends. During warmer weather there's events going on in the quad. Park City Mall is a 20min bus ride away!

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

I always see MUPD cars patrolling campus. The officers have a great relationship with the students, they're not just there to bust you! There are also blue poles around campus for you to call for help if you are in an emergency.
