I only have two classes so far and planning on receiving my other two. But I have meet my future professors and I can tell already that they are going to be quite helpful to me. And have already told me that only the brightest students aren't afraid to ask for help.
Will enjoy being here
So far I have been accepted into Macon State and the faculty and staff have been over and beyond helpful to me, especially my admissions advisor. She is doing everything to make that I have a great year when I start school in the fall and I appreciate her dearly for that.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Macon State is no doubt the cheapest college in the state of Georgia. Financial Aid is very helpful as well. What I thought that I was going to end up paying is 3x as smaller as I'm about to pay for now. I'm so glad that I am going here.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Don't be afraid to be a pest when it comes to classes and financial aid. The more they notice that you're serious about those things, the more they will tend to help you out. I have called many times about my application and now I call for my financial aid. You may think that they are getting tired of you but you have to remember.. This is what they get paid for helping us. So don't be afraid to be the one who is at class five minutes early and the one who stays after to get a better understanding of what was discussed in the session.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Macon State is the college for students who do not want a so big atmosphere. The class sizes are just like your everyday high school class. Great campus and friendly people. They welcome you with open arms and protect you as if you are their personal family. MSC is the place to be for any college beginner.
