Academics are not taking lightly at Lincoln University. Every student is responsible for their own work. There are mandatory classes that all students must take. Some include First Year Experience, African American Experience, Dimensions of Wellness, English Composition, etc. I'm glad Lincoln University made these classes apart of the curriculum because now I'm learning things I was never interested in. It makes me more of a well rounded person.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
As a freshmen, it will take some time getting use to. Lincoln University is in rural Pennyslavia. Most students are in a whole new environment. After a couple of weeks, the distance from home won't even matter because everyone is sure to fit someway. By the time my first semester ended, I was a member of 3 organizations. Each week there are plenty of events on campus. Forums, community service, and parties really gets everyone involved.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
As an out of state student for New Jersey, Lincoln University is cheaper than some schools that are in state. Since Lincoln University is the first HBCU founded in 1854, the administration is continuing to keep the campus up to date. Recently, the communication program received new radio and television programming equipment. Also, Lincoln gives merit award scholarships. If you have a good GPA and SAT score coming out of high school, Lincoln could award you money towards tuition, room and board, and/or fees.

Don't be so narrowed minded. Looks are not everything. Campuses that look the best cost the most. Lincoln University may not look the best but it has some of the hardest working students who trying their best to continue that great Lincoln legacy. Also the best way to enjoy your stay at Lincoln is to join an organization. It really gets you involved.

This school is great for students who want to go to a small school. In size, Lincoln University has a small campus and within your first week you will be able to locate every building. In population, Lincoln has close to about 2000 students. Students are not just a number. Teachers actually know students by name. By the end of the semester, you can recognize everyone's face on campus.
