Review of Keuka College

Describe your college in three sentences.

It is the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. They really make you feel at home. They provide many resources so that you can succeed.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

If you choose to come here you will have many great professors. However, do not take their kindness for granted. Do take some time to explore Penn Yan a bit. Don't be afraid to work in work study jobs. Some of the coworkers you get can be a great support system. Also use all your resources. They can be great tools to keep your grades up.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

There are many amazing classes to take here. Many majors require you to get a C or higher to be able to pass the class for your major requirements. They also require that you do Field Periods, which are kind of like internships. These help a lot with building your resume.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

The dorms are awesome here. They are even currently getting some renovations done. We are getting new lounges in all the dorms and the bathrooms are getting some small cosmetics taken care of.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The food is good and the people are excellent. The only problem is that you can get tired of the same thing over and over again. This would be a problem anywhere.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

During the warmer months we have our own small strip of beach by the lake to swim in. There are also many events that go on on campus. I especially love going to bingo. They usually have amazing prizes there.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There is a good variety of clubs here. They do campus wide events and community service. On top of it all if you participate in clubs enough they can be put on an official transcript for you.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Campus safety is excellent here. They have blue poles all over campus that have a button that calls for help directly to the sheriffs office. The security here are also there when you need them and are really friendly.
