Communicating with professors of your major is a great tool. My accounting professor helped me way more than my adviser with deciding classes I needed to take and my path to graduation.

Not too over the top strict, but also enough to feel that you are getting a great education.

Great cafeteria and cafe, along with seating and tables. Also Starbucks on campus!

There are some bars and places in the area to hang out with friends. Also Eddy St Commons is where most Notre Dame students go, so that is always a fun place to go.
