Grace University is dedicated to their mission statement.
Grace University is committed to the education of their students.
Grace University has professors and faculty who genuinely care for the students.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Prospective students should seek out the Team Leaders and RA's around campus if they ever have any questions. You should not be afraid to talk to anyone because the community is the best part of the school. Everyone knows everyone and genuinely cares about the well-being of others. Tips to prospective students: don't sweat it, just love people, they're going to love you right back.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
There are so many challenging courses that really make you do your homework and learn. That being said, the professors are so willing to help you and really want you to succeed. The classes are hard and the grading scale even harder but success is easy if you put forth your best effort.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
The community at Grace University is the best aspect. This goes right along with dorm life. Making you feel at home is a priority. There are places all over campus to hang out with friends or make new friends. Activities are planned with your hall as well as for the whole school, it's one of the perks of going to a smaller school.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
I doubt many people go to college for the food and although sometimes the cafeteria lacks variety, the man in charge is always looking for suggestions. He very willingly takes critique and works to meet all of our requests. I also know that many people look forward to the ice cream bar open at all meals.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
For fun, I hang out with my friends. We watch movies, play games, go to parks, and just fellowship. We have fun no matter what we're doing or where we are. We make fun out of studying by going to frozen yogurt places to study or we take study breaks from the library to dance in the rain. You're only in college once so we're making the most of the time we have.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
One of the most inexpensive private schools I've seen, they work hard to make sure that our money is being put to good use. It's still expensive, don't get me wrong, but the education is well worth it.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Grace University used to be a hospital so we have fun telling silly stories about what is still down in the basement of the buildings, especially to incoming freshmen.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Grace University is great for students seeking a loving community that will challenge your faith and help you to grow in knowledge. It's great for any type of personality because we have them all!
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are so many ways to get involved, especially because Grace is so small, it's easy to find activities to become involved in, and it's a great way to make new friends.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
The safety at Grace is amazing! We have professional security guards on campus at all times and they do a very thorough job. We also have key cards that are only issued to students and staff, making it impossible to get into the buildings without one. As the campus is in downtown Omaha, the school even gives out the phone numbers of some male students who have offered to walk female students across campus after dark. You can always call security as well. If there was ever a security breach, the school addressed it quickly and kept the students well informed.
