Describe your college in three sentences.

The staff are very helpful, inviting and informative, the professors are very attentative and really do care about your education, and the campuses have so much to offer.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Learn about all of the programs that are there are to help you further your education. BOG fee waiver, financial aid, CalWorks, EOPS, DSPS are are there to help you. Don't be afraid to ask for anything, the staff are wonderful and will work with you through everything. See a counselor regularly because they really keep you on track!

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Just because this is a community college does not mean that the corriculum differs from that of a university. You are getting a quality education here from professors who really want you to take away from this learning experience. I have gained so much knowledge as well as wisdom from hearing about my professor's experiences.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

There are no living facilities on the campuses, yet the campuses have so much to offer, such as the computer labs, libraries, food courts and not to mention the beautiful country views that make it easy to get some studying in.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Depending on the campus you will find different food sources. The folsom campus has a variety of foods at the Falcon roost, ranging from pizza to salads, even coffee. At the eldorado center there are vending machines with sandwiches etc. as well as soda and energy drinks. There are also regulars who come out and sell fresh hot tamales! Yum.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

The student body puts together fun activites on all campuses to gain more information about programs and have fun. There has been live music, free food and lots of memories.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

You cannot beat the prices at Folsom Lake College. Parking passes for the semster are only $30, cheaper if you get into a program like EOPS or Calworks. And the per unit price is way lower than surrounding colleges.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

I love Day on the Greens. Where we just hang out with eachother, listen to live music, eat free food and learn about all of the great opportunities that await!

Students who want the attention they deserve with a strong community backing them.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There are many clubs to be a part of where you can make a difference in college life.
