In which ways do you feel you are learning and growing?

-Testing, prevailing and failing.
FIU is vibrant and chllaenging, the material is not lax, and it has always had its own sense of movement. It teachs you to be focused, collected, and the university does not lack for strong foundations

How are you enjoying your time at this college?

-Already went, but i enjoyed my time about as much as possible, though i am still invovled with the college. No college or university is similar, though FIU is filled with transfers every semester, so get used to new faces and changing of the workers you see on campus. The dorms depend on where you go, there is UT, University Towers, UA, University Apartments, or the new Tamaimai Halls, with roomates or alone, events are held every week, floor groupchats and RAs who will hound you if you make a misstep.
It is up to the beholder, it was easy enough to find a solid group of people in each class.

What tips can you share with prospective students?

Be confident and comfortable with knowing less, being judged, and the various other aspects that come with dealing with 18-20s.

What qualities do you have that have best prepared you for success at this institution?

-Sense of pride, sense of worth, and sense of community. It takes a while, eventually FIU grows on you. Often times a bad day happens, or the usual setback. But making your own slice of FIU is the best and only way.

In what ways do you feel this college challenges students academically?

It juggles various events, groups and responibislites, and forces you to do well and excell, or not be part of said groups and events

In your experience, what is there to do for fun at this college?

Theres the gym, nature peserve, events, clubs, FIUBARSTOOL, a game room, a pool, a computber lab, access to Esports longue

Are there any quirky or unique traditions that make your college special?

-Not many, some myths surround the campus but most university traditions are ones you will learn, or if you get invovled with the fraternity/ soroity life.

How does this institution support campus safety or mental health and wellness programs?

It has FIU CAPs and FIU Healthy Living.

How has your college supported your career development and future goals?

one word would be resources.
FIU has Handshake which operates as both a personal development tool, with events and a Carrer center to schedule appointments or the ability to search for jobs, whether they be directly employment oppurtinites with FIU or the ability to find internships, CO-OPS, programs and learn about various job roles, companies and allows one to learn, network, speak to recuirters, speak to adivsors. Academic advisors, as well as tutors, unoffical resources such as an FIU reddit page that is active, and the abilty to speak to OneStop for qjuestions with enrollment, aid, and various topics/ issues.
