I have learned a lot through the required freshman courses. Freshman writing has taught me a lot about writing that I didn't learn in high school. Encore has helped me to broaden my view on music and performing arts. Community service has taught me that helping others can be very gratifying.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Between community service, encore, and instrumental ensemble, I stay pretty busy. Of course I still find time to hang out with my friends and have dinner together or watch a movie. There's always something to do here. Some of these things are: bowling, movie nights, bingo nights, karaoke nights, trivia nights, sporting events, clubs, etc.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
The money you pay for this school is well worth it. You get classes that you wouldn't get at any other college, professors and staff that actually know your name and are willing to work with you, and free tutoring.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Don't let the workload get you down. After a while, you'll come to realize that all your hard work will pay off once you get into graduate school or the workforce.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
This school is great for students that want a college campus that feels like home, but has always has events going on, small class sizes, and a beautiful view.
