Eastern has really taught me a lot not just academically, but also spiritually and personally. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is just how connected everything is. I've learned things in TaeKwon-Do that applied to Psychology that then applied to my spiritual life!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
It's really a wonderful place if you have the right attitude! Most of the people here are exceptionally loving and ready to encourage and uplift you!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
It's a lot of money to go here, and yeah, we sometimes joke about where our money's really going, but in the long run, it's worth it for all the learning we'll do both in and out of the classroom.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Visit! I love Eastern, but I recognize that's it not for everyone. Spending a day or so here--particularly if you stay overnight--can really help reveal whether you're meant to be here or not. Plus, if you do decide to come, it's great to already have an upperclassman friend.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Eastern is a great place for the open-minded. People who are willing to question and to see God work in sometimes unconventional ways are well-suited. People with a strong heart for social justice and change and who have aligned themselves with the heart of God will also do great here.
