Review of Eastern Oregon University

from Prineville, OR

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

I am currently a sophomore here at Eastern Oregon University and during my time here at E.O.U. I feel as if I have learned a lot. All of my classes have been challenging, educational, and fun all at the same time. As well, all of the classes are rather small, usually between 15 and 25 students, and the professors get to know you on a personal level.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

I have completely enjoyed my time here at Eastern Oregon University. The small close campus allows you to be able to get to know your fellow classmates, there is a large variety of clubs, the entire school supports the sports teams, and the professors strive to make the classes fun and educational.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

I believe that the price of attending Eastern Oregon University is extremely reasonable. This year alone I am barely paying over seven thousand dollars for tuition, health insurance (provided by the school), and all the other fees that are occurred during the school year.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Some tips for prospective students that I have is to not procrastinate doing any of the school work because it will impact your grade in the class significantly, don't be afraid to ask the professors or fellow classmates for help, when you're living in the dorms don't be afraid to meet your neighbors and have a little fun, and the most important tip I have is to not make your entire college life be about the school work because you will burn yourself out very quickly (so remember to have some fun).

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Eastern Oregon University is great for a variety of students. They offer a wide variety of degrees, such as History, Anthropology, Nursing (with an internship at the Student Health Center), Psychology, Chemistry, Theatre, and Range-land Management.
