All staff are very helpful. All staff care about their students and assist with their kindness. They are not judgemental of anyone or any situation.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Do not be ashamed to speak with any staff at Doane. They are all friendly and do not judge. They will assist you in any way they are able and if not, they will send you in the right direction.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Each Professor that I have come into contact with are very knowledgeable and teach in a way that you will understand. They understand each of us as a person.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I live off campus.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Doane continuously offers career assistance for all students in different field areas monthly if not weekly. If you are having family issues at home, or employment, etc., they will be there for you. These people are some of the most important people to me and I admire them.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Each semester, to honor their students for being able to accomplish what each have so far in our busy lives, they have a week of showing this to the students by bringing in some sort of food for all through out the week. This goes to show that they know accomplishing things is something each one of us should be proud of.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Anyone......but especially to parents. They accommodate our busy schedules and understand us as a parent and our daily roles to our children and work.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
There is always someone around no matter what time of day it is. Have always felt safe at school!
