DePaul is an amazing University. The professors care a LOT about your experience while you are here. If you are having trouble in a class, they are willing to meet with you and help you with whatever you need help with. Also, one of the BEST things about DePaul, is the writing center. It honestly helps you become a better writer along with giving you ideas with your paper.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
There is never a night where there isn't something to do on or off campus here. The DePaul Activites Board, offers numerous free events throughout the year. Another thing about DePaul, is the location its located in; its a 15 minute el ride away from the heart of Chicago!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
This school is a bit pricey, but you will enjoy every minute of it. One of the things I've noticed about private universities compared to public universities, is that professors have spend more time with the individual student. Instead of being in HUGE lecture halls, the maximum amount of students in your class will most likely be 40 students.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
DePaul is on the quarter system, meaning you would have finals 3 times a year instead of 2 times. It takes time to get used to but it's not so bad. Also, take advantage of your resources! From things like the writing center, to your Chicago Quarter Mentor, all these things are there to help you succeed at DePaul!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
I think the students who love DePaul the most are those who love the Urban lifestyle that it has to offer! Also, those who love to give back to their community. :)
