Review of Community College of Allegheny County

from Gibsonia, PA

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

the learning environment for ccac is outstanding. The class ratio to the teacher is compared to the class ratio of teacher to students in learning in high school.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

even though its not the dorm life, since most students who go to community college commute, they get a better education and if you don't enjoy being there, you can always transfer.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Community colleges are much more less expensive than going to a public school. if you don't know what you want to major in, I would advise you to apply for a community college, to start taking general classes first, so you get a feel of what you might want to do. After that you can transfer to the college of your preferred choice

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

* get involved * if you go through a financial issue in the year apply for financial aid * make friends

Which types of students will excel at your college?

*Student who don't exactly know their major * students who have struggled in high school(supportive services staff is excellent)
