Columbia Basin College is a great starting school. The staff there is helpful, it is easy to get around, the campus is clean, and the tuition is pretty cheap. I rate this school an 8/10 so far.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
I suggest looking over the website and reading important topics on the site before applying for anything. Be sure to pick up a map and ask questions in the H building(also known as the HUB).
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The academic rigor at CBC is excellent. The math department is a little weak, but that is the only downfall. The other departments excel.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
There are no dorms at Columbia basin College.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The food offered in the HUB isn't that good. Prices have increased for food and it just isn't worth it. If you want to eat something between classes, I suggest eating out.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Go downstairs in the hub! There is a lot to do there. You could also explore the campus or maybe even join a club!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Cheap tuition. Great place to start out. I can afford to pay for my own tuition myself.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
Born This Way Alliance-Wonderful club! Everyone is the club is friendly.
ASCBC-A great way to help out the school.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
Very safe. I feel very comfortable walking around the campus. If there are any problems, I can easily call security.
