Review of Broward College

from Pembroke Pines, FL

Did learn a lot

People seem to be discouraged about going to a Community College, although it is now Broward College, its still seen as a school where you can shoot the breeze and pass. It's not. Class sizes are smaller for a better learning experiences. Professors learn your name individually which I'm sure in a bigger institution professors only know the good students. In my time hear I did learn alot. Fresh out of high school just starting up, you learn about time management and of course the course criteria etc.

Did enjoy being here

I did enjoy attending. Made some friends and learned alot.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Definitely bang for you buck. All that you would learn in a university paying a whole bunch of dollars you learn in a nice cozy college and not burn a whole in your pocket.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Tip: Know yourself. Broward College has the most flexible schedule in the world, in my opinion. They have the same classes at all different times (morning, afternoon or evening), 5 days a week, online or on campus. It just can't get any better. But what I mean about know yourself is: Don't not pick a 8 am class knowing that you would never be able to be up in time to make it. Use the flexible scheduling to work around you work time. If you must work full-time you can still find something that works with you and still be going to school full time. Visit advisors as much as possible! They get you through things. That is what they are there for... to ADVISE.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Great for fresh out of college, students who need to work full-time, students who want to return after years of not attending, parents, single-parents. Really it's great for everyone.
