I have learned so much here at BYU-Idaho. The professors are very willing to help anyone with any questions and help understand the subject being taught. I also have not only learned a ton but have already been able to apply and use everything I have learned in my life the same day.
I have also learned how to a leader. Even as a freshman I was in charge of a major school event. I got to learn how to deal with people in different situations, how to run an event, and take charge of a week long schooling and community event.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I could never imagine being anywhere else then in Rexburg, Idaho at BYU-Idaho. There is always something going on in the little town. I played on a soccer team and loved it; there are both coed and just girls teams for any sport. I went on field trips for field biology and really got to be able to identify plants outside of the classroom. There is something for everyone in Idaho not matter what each person loves or is interested in.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Money is a major issue for me. My parents are not able to help me at all with paying for college. BYU-Idaho offers so many scholarships and grants! Tuition in here is cheaper for me than it was back in Arizona, even for instate-tuition. My money has been put to good use and not wasted on any classes.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
There is so much to do and so much fun, but remember there is also school work. Also make sure that all the finances for school is figured out before the semester starts.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
BYU-Idaho is good for any type of students. If a student is lost and does not know where his/her life is headed BYU-Idaho is a place that will help anyone find out. And if the student knows then it is a great place to start his/her ambitions.
