Review of Brigham Young University-Idaho

from Roseville, CA

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

It is amazing to me the number of top notch instructors here on campus! Many of them left higher paying positions to come here and I am so grateful they did. I have become close friends with many of my instructors who take the time to know you personally, both on an academic and friendly level. Classes are not easy, but that is what college is about. I have learned more here than I think I would have at any other university.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

I absolutely love being in Rexburg, it's a smaller town than I am used to but I find myself missing school when I am off track. The people you meet and the schools faculty are just phenomenal. Campus is small and easy to navigate around (though not at the moment with all the construction, but once that's done the campus will be even prettier). Overall an educational and very spiritual experience!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

It is cheaper for me to go to school in Idaho at BYU than it would be for me to stay in-state in CA. Definitely worth it.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Develop good study habits now! There are so many events and fun people to hang out with it sometimes is easy to push aside your homework for more fun things. Stay focused and don't let your grades drop, once you fall behind it becomes Way harder to catch back up.
