Arkansas Tech is a beautiful place to be. I am constantly surrounded by amazing students and teacher. I am completely satisfied with my choice and I am excited to continue my journey at ATU.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Get involved! A great way to meet new people is to be a part of something. There are tons of activities to do if you just put yourself out there.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
I am very impressed with the amount of attention the students get. Even in large lecture classes I have gotten the attention that I have required to be the best that I can be. The professors reach out and want to help us.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I am a resident in Turner Hall and I am having the best experience I think anyone could every have. Although I was a bit intimidated by the thought of a community style dorm, I immediately fell in love. My first night here I met the friends that I am still hanging out with to today.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
I never thought the cafeteria would be my first choice, but it is almost every single time. I have tried every choice here at Tech as well. There are so many options when it comes to meal time, and lets be honest, meal time is very important to me.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
I didn't travel far at all to go to college. I graduated from Russellville High School and I have lived here almost my whole life, so I don't see Russellville like everyone else. But I love this city. There aren't so many things to do outside of campus besides the movie theater and bowling alley, but the amount of campus activities is crazy. They are always having fun activities for us to get involved in.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
ATU is worth every penny, if you even have to hand any money over. Scholarships come in great quantities here. Put in the work and good things will follow.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
I feel more safe here than I have at any other school or campus. I have never had any problems with anyone on campus and I have never even had the thought of danger come to mind.
