Review of Arizona State University Campus Immersion

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

There is alot to learn about college life, and ASU gave me the lowdown really fast. textbooks, classes, advisers, professors, football, sororities, as well as studying abroad and already talking about graduate school as a freshman. ASU has helped me prepare for my future in advanced so that I can focus on my studies more and worry less.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

All of the professors I have been in class with have been very helpful, including TA's. They always email you when there is a change in plans and usually remind you about upcoming projects and tests. Staff are very friendly and helpful as well.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Make sure to make friends within your major and to befriend your advisers, they will help you the most. Find a nice place on campus that you can go to in between classes and study. sometimes the library, computing commons, and Memorial Union are jammed all at once. Usually there are open classrooms. Try sitting in on a large lecture class if you do not have a lot to do, I did, and picked up quite a bit of knowledge on latin

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Great for people who love the outdoors as well as the sun. In the beginning of the school year you can get a tan just walking to class. On a more serious note, ASU is wonderful for any and all types of students because they have so many options as far as majors go. Not to mention you can take classes in just about any field for elective credit.
