I enjoy being here because you get to make great friendships that will last a lifetime.

And when you come here it is like you are becoming a part of a big family. It is good to get involved because it gives you something constructive to do when you're not studying, and it is a good way to make friends. I also recommend that new students apply for jobs on campus, especially jobs within their major. That way they are gaining some experience and networking at the same time. If you are shy, really push yourself to branch out and meet new people. If you are a really dedicated student, that's great, but make sure that you make some time for friends. No matter what your personality may be like, just be sure to keep some balance in your life. You don't want to cause yourself too much stress from taking on too much, but you don't want to fall behind in your studies either. So just try to schedule your time well, and make the best of your college years.
