The first-year seminars are very informative. I never thought I would look at food this way. There are a lot of different FYS topics offered for first-years in order to expand the way we think and promote the way we write. The wide range of classes offered is just amazing. All of the professors are nice, and the workload is never too much.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I sincerely wish that I lived further away from Agnes Scott, so my parents would require me to go home every weekend. There are a lot of things to do, needless to say, and there is at least a fun event or two going on every month. Black Cat week was amazing, and I'm sure you prospectives will think the same when you come to it.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
It is a liberal arts school, so not much on the science bits, but it does have a wide range of subjects to study. It's expensive, because they take very good care of the grass and have high-tech study rooms that students can use. They make us feel comfortable and feel like a student, rather than a number on paper.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Don't stress out and enjoy your time here. Come visit. Before I came here to look around, I had my heart set on another school, and I was definitely going to go there, but when I set foot on Agnes Scott, the cool breeze rustling through the trees and the sight of actual grass made me fall in love with this campus, and I'm sure it'll take your breath away too.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Anyone looking for a new and unique experience. I would have never considered an all-women college before, but I hardly notice the lack of male students. If you need to party, there are always GA Tech boys and parties. As for the campus, it is just enjoyable and peaceful.
